LexScan — Terms of Use

By accessing or using LexScan, you confirm that you are at least 17 years old and agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

LexScan is an AI-powered document intelligence tool that scans, analyzes, and summarizes legal documents. The app uses artificial intelligence to identify clauses, assess risks, and generate plain-English summaries of legal documents you provide.

• •You may use LexScan without creating an account (limited to free-tier features).
• •If you sign in with Apple, you agree to provide accurate information.
• •You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account.
• •You must not share your account or allow others to access it.

• •LexScan offers free and paid subscription tiers.
• •Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms.
• •Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• •You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
• •Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.
• •We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with advance notice.

You agree not to:

• •Use LexScan for any unlawful purpose.
• •Upload documents containing malware, illegal content, or content that infringes on third-party rights.
• •Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
• •Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security measures.
• •Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the service.
• •Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to LexScan.
• •Submit fraudulent documents or misrepresent the nature of uploaded content.

• •LexScan, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by ARKA Systems and protected by intellectual property laws.
• •You retain ownership of documents you scan or import.
• •AI-generated analyses are provided as a service output. You may use analysis results for your personal or business purposes.
• •You may not claim AI-generated output as professional legal advice.

• •Analysis results are generated by third-party AI language models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4o).
• •AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or outdated.
• •We do not warrant that AI-generated content is correct or suitable for any particular purpose.
• •You are solely responsible for verifying any analysis before relying on it.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ARKA Systems from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of LexScan, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on AI-generated analysis.

We may suspend or terminate your access to LexScan at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) shall survive.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
