Pet Health IQ — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pet Health IQ mobile application (“the App”) operated by Arka AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using Pet Health IQ, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Description of Service
Pet Health IQ is an AI-powered pet health triage tool that helps pet owners assess the urgency of their pet's health concerns. The App provides visual and symptom-based health scans, severity ratings, medication safety checks, toxicity screening, behavior analysis, healing progress tracking, emergency triage, vet visit preparation reports, and a vet translator feature. All AI-generated content is provided as informational guidance only and is not a substitute for professional veterinary care, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. Important Medical Disclaimer
Pet Health IQ does not provide medical diagnoses. The App is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.
- •All assessments are AI-generated estimates intended as general guidance to help you decide whether your pet may need veterinary attention
- •Using the App does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship
- •AI analysis can make errors — results should never be treated as definitive diagnoses
- •If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, contact your veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital immediately — do not wait for app results
- •Health guidance is general in nature and may not account for your pet's individual health conditions, genetic predispositions, or current medications
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use Pet Health IQ. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- •Use the App as a replacement for professional veterinary care
- •Submit images or content that do not relate to pet health assessment
- •Attempt to circumvent rate limits, subscription systems, or security measures
- •Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App or its backend services
- •Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the App
- •Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the App or its features
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
5. Pet Data and AI Processing
By using the App's health assessment features, you acknowledge and agree that:
- •Your pet's profile data, photos, and health descriptions will be transmitted to our servers and processed by third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude via OpenRouter)
- •Pet data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers after processing is complete
- •Assessment results are stored locally on your device
- •Your data is never used to train AI models
- •AI-generated assessments are guidance only — you are responsible for seeking professional veterinary care when needed

6. Subscriptions and Purchases
6.1 PetIQ Pro Subscription
Pet Health IQ offers a PetIQ Pro subscription that unlocks premium features including unlimited scans, advanced tools, and additional analysis capabilities. Emergency features are always free regardless of subscription status.
6.2 Subscription Terms
Subscriptions are available as auto-renewing monthly or annual plans through Apple's App Store. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
6.3 Free Trial
New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the displayed price.
6.4 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple's support channels at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Content
The App, including its design, code, AI prompts, analysis algorithms, and branding, is the property of Arka AI and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App.
7.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of the pet data, photos, and descriptions you provide. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the App's health assessment services. This license terminates when processing is complete.
7.3 AI-Generated Content
AI-generated health assessments and reports are created for your personal use. You may use, share, and print your vet prep reports and health passport data freely. You are solely responsible for how you act on any assessment provided by the App.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Specifically:
- •Health assessments are AI-generated estimates and may not accurately reflect your pet's actual medical condition
- •We do not guarantee that using the App will prevent adverse health outcomes for your pet
- •Severity ratings, toxicity levels, and medication safety assessments are approximations and should be verified with a veterinarian
- •Service availability may be interrupted for maintenance or due to factors beyond our control
- •Results may vary between sessions due to the nature of AI processing
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arka AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to harm to pets, veterinary expenses, loss of data, or reliance on AI-generated assessments.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Arka AI from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on any AI-generated content provided by the App.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may delete your data at any time by removing your pet profiles or uninstalling the App.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
