Limits

Usage Limits

Understanding the usage limits for each ARKA-AI plan. Learn how limits work and what happens when you reach them.

Daily Limits

Both plans have daily usage limits that reset at midnight UTC. Here's what each limit means:

Chat Messages

Free: 25/day • Starter: 200/day • Pro: Unlimited

Each message you send in the chat counts toward your daily limit. This applies to all conversations across your workspace. Free users (signed in without a subscription) get 25 messages per day.

Tool Uses

Starter: 25/day • Pro: Unlimited

Each time you use a tool (Rewrite, Summarize, Explain, SEO, Prompt Improve), it counts as one use. This includes the initial request only - regenerations have their own separate limit.

Regenerations per Message

Starter: 2 • Pro: Unlimited

After getting a response, you can regenerate to get a new output. Starter users can regenerate each message up to 2 times. Pro users can regenerate as many times as needed.

Comparisons

Starter: 1/day • Pro: Unlimited

The comparison feature runs your input through two different models side-by-side. Each comparison counts as one use. Starter users get 1 comparison per day.

Token Limits

Tokens determine how much text you can process and generate. Here are the limits for each plan:

Limit TypeStarterPro
Max Context Window4,00016,000
Max Response (Low complexity)300700
Max Response (Medium complexity)7001,600
Max Response (High complexity)1,2002,800

What's a Token?

Tokens are pieces of words. On average, 1 token ≈ 4 characters or about 0.75 words. A 1,000-word article is roughly 1,300 tokens.

Context Window Explained

The context window determines how much of your conversation history the AI can "remember" when generating responses:

Starter (4K context)

  • • Good for single exchanges
  • • Works well with short documents
  • • May lose context in long conversations
  • • Best for quick, focused tasks

Pro (16K context)

  • • Remembers more conversation history
  • • Handles longer documents
  • • Better for iterative work
  • • Access to LONG_CONTEXT role for even larger inputs

What Happens at Limits?

Approaching Limit (80%)

You'll see a warning indicator in your workspace showing your remaining uses. This gives you time to plan your remaining work.

At Limit (100%)

Once you reach your daily limit, the tool will show a message indicating when your limits reset (midnight UTC). You can still view your conversation history and previous outputs.

Limit Reset

All daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC every day. You'll receive your full allocation again automatically.

Upgrade to Remove Limits

Pro users enjoy unlimited chat messages, tool uses, regenerations, and comparisons. If you frequently hit your limits, upgrading to Pro will give you:

  • Unlimited chat messages - Chat without daily limits
  • Unlimited daily tool uses - No more rationing
  • Unlimited regenerations - Perfect every output
  • Unlimited comparisons - Compare models freely
  • 4x longer responses - More detailed outputs
  • 4x larger context - Handle longer documents

Pro Tip

If you're unsure whether you need Pro, start with Starter for a month. Your workspace will show how many uses you're consuming daily. If you consistently hit limits, upgrade to Pro.
