Content Limits

For analysis, content is truncated to 10,000 characters to optimize AI processing. Very large documents may have some content omitted from analysis.

AI File Analysis

Analyze any supported file to get AI-powered insights about its content:

1

Select a File

Browse or search for the file you want to analyze and click on it.

2

Click Analyze

Click "Analyze with AI" to start the analysis process. This typically takes a few seconds.

3

View Results

Once complete, you'll see the analysis results including summary, key points, topics, and sentiment.

Analysis Components

Each file analysis includes:

  • Summary: A 2-3 sentence overview of the document's main content and purpose
  • Key Points: 3-5 important takeaways or main ideas extracted from the content
  • Topics: 3-7 keywords or themes identified in the document
  • Sentiment: Overall tone assessment (Positive, Negative, or Neutral)
  • Word Count: Total words in the document

Cached Analysis

Analysis results are cached so you don't have to wait each time you view a file. Results are refreshed when the file is modified.

File Q&A (Discussions)

Have a conversation about any analyzed file. Ask questions, request clarifications, or explore specific aspects of the content.

Starting a Discussion

1

Analyze the File First

File Q&A requires analysis to be completed first. If you haven't analyzed the file, do that first.

2

Open Discussion

Click "Ask Questions" or navigate to the Discussion tab for the analyzed file.

3

Ask Your Question

Type your question about the document. The AI uses the file content and analysis to provide contextual answers.

4

Continue the Conversation

Follow up with additional questions. The AI maintains context throughout the conversation.

Example Questions

Here are some effective questions you can ask about your files:

  • "What are the main conclusions of this report?"
  • "Can you explain the methodology described in section 3?"
  • "What action items are mentioned in this document?"
  • "Are there any risks or concerns highlighted?"
  • "Summarize the financial data in this spreadsheet."
  • "What recommendations does the author make?"

Conversation History

All discussions are saved and accessible later:

  • View past conversations from the Active Discussions list
  • Continue previous discussions where you left off
  • Reference earlier answers in follow-up questions

File Information

For each file in your Drive, you can view:

  • Name: File name and extension
  • Type: Google Doc, Sheet, PDF, etc.
  • Size: File size in KB/MB
  • Owner: Who created or owns the file
  • Last Modified: When the file was last updated
  • Sharing Status: Private, shared, or public

Best Practices

Be Specific in Questions

Specific questions get better answers. Instead of "What's in this doc?" ask "What are the quarterly sales targets mentioned?"

Use for Research

Analyze multiple related documents to quickly synthesize information across sources without reading each one fully.

Reference Analysis in Chats

You can reference file analyses in your main ARKA AI chats to incorporate document insights into broader conversations.

Keep Documents Organized

A well-organized Drive makes finding and analyzing files faster. Use folders and clear naming conventions.
